Start building for freeRundleview Park in Canmore, Alberta, offers couples a picturesque and intimate setting for their wedding ceremonies. Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Canadian Rockies, this outdoor venue provides a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a natural backdrop for their special day.
Located at 900 Rundleview Drive, Rundleview park boasts stunning mountain views and a tranquil environment. The park features a natural, unmaintained grassy area, perfect for hosting wedding ceremonies of up to 120 guests. While there are no public washrooms on-site, the venue's proximity to downtown Canmore ensures convenient access to amenities for both the wedding party and guests.
Situated adjacent to a residential neighborhood, Rundleview park offers limited parking. To accommodate guests, the Town of Canmore provides temporary parking permits for up to five vehicles as part of the wedding party. Additional parking is available at the nearby Quarry Lake Park, located just across the street. Couples are encouraged to arrange carpooling or shuttle services to minimize the number of individual vehicles, ensuring a smooth experience for all attendees.
To secure Rundleview park for a wedding ceremony, a rental permit is required. This permit ensures exclusive use of the park for a three-hour period, encompassing setup, the ceremony, and takedown. It's advisable to book well in advance, as the venue is in high demand, especially during peak wedding seasons. The Town of Canmore allows bookings up to two years in advance, providing ample time for couples to plan their perfect day.
Weather Preparedness: Given the variable weather conditions in the Rockies, it's essential to have contingency plans, such as tents or alternative indoor venues, to accommodate unexpected changes.
Decorations and Setup: Couples are responsible for the setup and removal of any chairs, equipment, or decorations. All items must be removed promptly to maintain the park's natural beauty.
Photography Permits: Professional photography sessions in public spaces may require a film permit from the Town of Canmore. It's recommended to consult with local authorities to ensure all necessary permissions are obtained.
In summary, Rundleview park offers a harmonious blend of natural beauty and intimate ambiance, making it a premier choice for couples desiring an outdoor wedding ceremony in Canmore. Its scenic vistas, combined with the charm of the surrounding area, promise a memorable experience for both the couple and their guests.

“Nice view and nice little park. NOTE there is no parking lot and street parking is for RESIDENTS only (must have permit). Visitors are not welcome. The only way around this is if you're dropped off or pay for parking at Quarry Lake and do the short walk over (300-400 meters).”
